What you'll do

As Quality Assurance Specialist, you are critical to the success of all of our software and website publishing products. You’ll be responsible for testing during the development phase and for ensuring the highest quality of our products and features before they are released into the wild. If you’re the type to notice every little discrepancy in everything you see, you might be the ideal candidate for this position!

• Validate website and application appearance against design mockups and wireframes for pinpoint accuracy.
• Test website, application and API functionality to ensure user and business requirements are satisfied.
• Perform automated visual and functional testing using a variety of scripts/tools.
• Develop and execute test plans to maximize test coverage across a variety of browsers and devices.
• Provide direction to developers in their own testing to minimize defects at the QA stage.
• Find opportunities for automation and work with developers to build automated tests.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and co-ordinate testing activities
• Build innovative ways to automate and expand our platform testing. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers, product managers etc.)

What you'll bring

• 6-8 years of web testing experience.
• Experience creating, executing and maintaining test cases.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Understanding of HTTP response and error codes (200, 404, 500, etc.).
• Basic understanding of front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, JS.
• Experience creating and maintaining regression test suites.
• Experience with visual comparison testing.
• Experience working in Agile workflow management tools like JIRA.
• Familiarity testing websites built in the WordPress or Drupal CMS.
• Familiarity with database language and structure, such as MySQL.
• Experience with Test Cafe, Selenium, Ranorex or other test automation tools.
• Familiarity with Screaming Frog or similar website crawlers.
• Experience with localization testing.
• Some familiarity with Unix-based systems.
• Some familiarity with code versioning tools, such as git.
• Familiarity of search engine optimization concepts and best practices.

• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Tag Manager.
• Familiarity with load /performance testing tools.
• Familiarity with containerization, i.e. Docker.
