We are looking for a passionate Cyber Security Senior Analyst to join and lead within our evolving Cyber Security capability, providing value service to business colleagues and customers in the world of risk awareness, protection and mitigation.

You will have opportunity to drive fundamental change. There are constant tasks to be done, as well a necessity to get involved with and influence myriad projects, programmes and initiatives across the group, as well as within the Cyber Security team.  

What you'll do

  • Leading cyber security operational activities, including event and incident investigation, process development and optimisation, playbook and exercise development.
  • Provide authority on specific security domains, delivering guidance and standards across the whole group.
  • Bridging relationships across the business, helping to develop security interventions that match current and future business need.
  • Overcoming challenging situations, or conflict, to influence risk decisions.
  • Manage incident response processes through to closure, including leading and collaborating on lessons learned and root cause activities.
  • Collaborate across a global organisation to present contextual risk information to business colleagues, influencing strategic and operational decision making.
  • Ownership and responsibility for strategic security deliveries that encompass the full gamut of people, process and technological transformation.
  • Identifying and presenting business cases for innovative, problem solving, solutions to improve the maturity, or efficiency of the Cyber Security team.
  • Presenting commercial opportunities and ideas for services and solutions that we can or could provide to prospective and existing clients.
  • Managing exceptional service to our business colleagues and external clients.
  • Mentoring and coaching wider team and group members.
  • Leading internal and external consulting opportunities.
  • Multiple technologies from cryptocurrencies to exchange and everywhere in-between.
  • Delivery of core risk management concepts, such as vulnerability management or threat intelligence production, consumption and contextualisation.
  • Developing research capabilities and developing a proficiency in current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technology developments.
  • Create and present findings on cyber-security threats, attacks, incidents, and other indicators of cyber-security issues.
  • Assessing and reporting the organisation’s risk exposure and measuring the variety of parameters which make up said risk.
  • Optimising and automating repetitive tasks. Constantly seeking to improve how we operate, from daily tasks to fundamental domain constructs.
  • Participating in knowledge sharing with other analysts to develop solutions and continued improvement opportunities.
  • Delivering strategic goals, defining outcomes and success criteria and measuring positive effects.

Some useful skills and/or knowledge areas:

  • Cyber Security domain expertise
  • Risk framework application and management
  • Significant experience in security operations, or other Cyber Security disciplines
  • In-depth technology understanding, especially core concepts, like networking, protocols, OSI model, operating systems
  • Development, scripting and coding experience
  • Data science and analysis techniques
  • Practical knowledge of threat modelling frameworks and usage
  • Experience with malware concepts and mitigation approaches
  • Adversarial concepts and their application in decision making
