Your Mission

This is a superb opportunity for a talented Communications Specialist to join the Marketing team within the People function at The Workshop, developing and supporting internal and external communication across our offices globally. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in establishing a consistent voice across the company and for the external outreach. You’ll join a team responsible for the inception, design, development and implementation of talent attraction and employee engagement campaigns.  

You’re a strong team player and self-starter with heaps of energy, a nose for sniffing out opportunities and top-notch interpersonal skills. You’re not afraid to pick something ugly up from scratch, work with the stakeholders to understand the intent, and ultimately deliver compelling, professional and on-brand communications. You’ll have experience in content marketing, managing your time and your dependencies accordingly, yet also be able to pick up an urgent action with a tight deadline and still deliver. As a multifaceted all-rounder, you master versatile writing styles, appreciate the importance of tone in communication, and recognise when we aren’t living up to our own commitments as far as brand and values are concerned. 


What you'll do

  • Lead storytelling in various projects from web & social, internal comms, events, to video productions and other employee engagement initiatives
  • Write ah-hoc senior leadership communications, crisis communications and company updates
  • Work closely with our Talent Acquisition team to identify recruitment needs and translate opportunities into engaging content piece
  • Conceptualise and deliver creative and strategic initiatives aligned to our roadmap and our company’s objectives
  • Be the voice of The Workshop’s social media and website presence, applying and adapting our tone of voice to all communication channels
  • Manage the content pipeline and calendar for blog and social, collaborate with contributors from ideation to launch of (technical) content
  • Develop a great internal network and collaborate with stakeholders, offering creative advice and high-quality solutions
  • Convert briefs or drafts into on-brand copies with your excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills


What you'll bring

  • Strong and consistent record of content planning and 360 creation, management and delivery
  • Native-speaking level in English
  • Personable character and an exceptional communicator – ability to communicate at the highest level both written and verbal
  • Highly organised – proven ability to proactively manage time effectively when handling multiple simultaneous projects
  • Proven ability to prioritise based upon changing pressures
  • Aptitude for quick, creative thinking without sacrificing attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across a variety of levels
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your strategic thinking, creativity and impressive writing chops
  • Understanding of the software or technology industry is a plus
