What you'll do

  •  Gain deep functional and technical understanding of the system and contribute to its overall quality strategy and roadmap
  • Create, implement and oversee Quality Strategies that maximise return     on investment
  • Investigate and troubleshoot test failures in order to identify root causes
  • Coach the development team to write automated tests that follow best practices
  • Take ownership of system stability on the different environments
  • Contribute to the quality of processes and organisation
  • Collaborate with team to ensure test processes are followed and user stories are properly created, refined, tested and delivered to production
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and managers to improve the quality of the delivery both in terms of functional and non-functional requirements
  • Promote best practices, development guidelines and continuous code improvements
  • Act as a mentor and a role model for Quality Engineers and the development team
  • Write automated tests for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work closely with Quality Architects to be aligned with the Quality principles and initiatives where relevant
  • Investigate new tools, technologies, or ideas to promote further improvements to the system 

What you'll bring

  • Professional Quality Engineering experience on large-scale complex applications 
  • Deep understanding on how to build and apply the testing pyramid and the Agile testing principles to modern software development
  • Full manual testing experience
  • Strong experience in test automation and in NFR testing (performance, security, scalability)
  • A clear vision that metrics are needed to help on the continuous improvement of your teams
  • The ability to lead the creation of a test framework within the development teams
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks on the different testing pyramid layers
  • Proactivity. Thinking out of the box and contributing to continuous improvements and anticipating potential issues
  • Experience in stakeholders management (Business, Management and Technology)
  • Exceptional communication (oral/written) and presentation skills
