What you'll do

Our Procurement function is responsible for the acquisition of goods, services and the development and management of commercial and contractual activities. We rely on this talented group of people for supply chain management, sourcing strategy, and managing the procurement lifecycle through inception, tendering (if required), contract negotiation, delivery planning, execution, and closeouts across multiple geographic locations.

This role is a maternity cover for the Head of Procurement role. The Senior Procurement Manager will be accountable for all commercial and procurement activities that enable our business units and key stakeholders to efficiently and effectively maximize the value they receive from suppliers and vendors to meet their objectives. 

The Senior Procurement Manager will lead a team of procurement professionals in multiple regions who work closely with the business, suppliers, and vendors to ensure procurement is aligned with company needs and objectives.  The organization depends on this function and expects high-quality service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of procurement professionals. Provide clear direction and motivate staff to accomplish procurement tasks and objectives. Develop career planning activities, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation.
  • Develop the procurement process and policies. Champion the department’s mission for achieving targeted outcomes, process efficiencies, and cost reduction goals.
  • Manage the procurement lifecycle including; sourcing, negotiating, review of supplier contracts RFQ, tender, and contract management.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure strong communication exists between vendors and the organisation.
  • Monitoring and maintaining approved supplier lists
  • Drive continuous improvement with a focus on internal and external customer service.
  • Monitor and evaluate contractual arrangements to make sure that suppliers are complying with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Ensure the interests and assets of the business are commercially protected and that business owners and stakeholders are provided with a full end-to-end supplier engagement service.
  • Resolve issues with contracts and commercial operations.
  • Analyse costs, make recommendations for improvements and opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Maintain close contact and management of key stakeholders to ensure efficiency and knowledge is shared through the organization with regard to all commercial and purchasing activities.
  • Budget review and auditing for business categories and regions.
  • Analysing costs and recommending improvements and opportunities for efficiencies
  • Investigation and delegation to consultants of any queries or issues that arise in relation to contracts, commercial relationships, legal entity questions and supplier services and products.
  • Support legal and finance teams with improving process flow and efficiencies
  • Providing superior procurement services across the organization to support business objectives

What you'll bring

  • Comprehensive understanding and proven track record in delivering all aspects of the commercial procurement and purchasing lifecycle
  • Highly experienced, working in a Procurement team that manages spend in excess of £20m per annum.
  • Proven line management experience.
  • Financial analysis skills including budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.
  • Extensive experience of working with senior executives and board-level decision-makers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as an understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and maturity when working with internal business functions, peers, senior management, and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives or activities, and effectively make judgments in prioritizing and time allocation in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to “sell” procurement’s value to the business.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changes and the needs of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multi-office environment and willingness to travel to other offices overseas as required.

 Advantages

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (related to knowledge in contracts and services agreements is an asset)
  • Experience with working in complex multi-country companies is an advantage
  • Experience with JIRA or MS Dynamics is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in iGaming an advantage
  • Knowledge of IT in a procurement context is an advantage
