Your Mission

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you are responsible for building and scaling a high-performance team of data engineers to drive the delivery of our data and analytics platforms. In addition to platform ownership, your team will provide SME support and training to our wider engineering group enabling them to manage their ingestion pipelines and models.

What you'll do

  •  Build and scale a high-performance team of data engineers through effective hiring, coaching and development
  • Drive the delivery of our new and future data warehouse and analytics needs
  • Own the execution of the Software Product Development Lifecycle 
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary projects
  • Partner with our Product Team to ensure engineering's vision for success is aligned with the business goals

What you'll bring

  • Experience of building data and analytics platforms
  • Experience of managing teams in the data and analytics space, applying engineering good practices and agile culture
  • Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams 
  • High-level architecture skills
  • Enthusiasm about data, analytics and automation
  • A dynamic, self-motivated, creative mind-set, with an appreciation of vision and goals
  • Track record of building scalable, reliable complex software solutions
  • Passion about automation, building high-performance teams and not afraid to dig into the details when required
  • Experience of Exasol and Hadoop is nice to have.
