What you'll do

  • Project manage a range of projects, with ownership of the entire project life cycle from inception to deployment and post-deployment support
  • Manage a portfolio reporting tool ensuring its accurate and useful completion and report generation
  • Be able to work with and challenge project and programme managers on their inputs of the tool
  • Be the expert user of the tool for the organisation
  • Have a knowledge of how to produce management summaries from reporting and highlighting key areas of concern
  • Experienced with resource mgmt. capacity and tracking through enterprise tools
  • Have an exposure to project finance processes
  • Have delivered projects using an Agile methodology whilst being able to integrate with business roadmaps and planning
  • Work with key stakeholders and other project managers within the organisation to establish overall project plan, milestones, and timelines
  • Capture and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions in an organised, structured, and coherent way - escalating risks where necessary
  • Ensure that impacted teams are involved and informed as early as possible in the project management process
  • Proactively disseminate project information to all stakeholders
  • Report weekly to stakeholders or the Steering Committee as appropriate on project progress, risks and issues to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity - proactively managing sponsor and stakeholder expectations
  • Direct and motivate project teams by demonstrating effective leadership skills, ensuring commitments are being upheld
  • Input into the effective setup and running of an effective PMO
  • Set up and maintain good governance structures within project and programme delivery
  • Take ownership and responsibility for delivery of special or confidential projects/ initiatives


What you'll bring

  • Strong project management experience, using different delivery methodologies (Prince2, Waterfall, Agile etc.)
  • A self-starter attitude, with proven ability to work in an unstructured environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience presenting to C-Suite execs
  • Tiptop organisational skills and a proven ability to proactively manage time effectively when handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven PMO skills as a central part of a previous role
  • Excellent communication skills including good, active listening skills when interacting with a wide range of stakeholders from senior management through to SME (Subject Matter Experts)/ development and corporate departments
  • A proven ability to prioritise based upon changing pressures
  • A persuasive, confident and diplomatic manner and a self-starter who can use initiative, without needing to be micromanaged
  • Proven experience working on IT and business-change projects
  • Experience working with PMO tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Fluent English, both written and verbal. Other languages will be an advantage.
  • A willingness to travel on an ad-hoc basis
  • A project management qualification (PMI/Prince 2/ITL/Agile, MSP - preferred)
  • A mature, rational, and objective approach to tasks
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency in MS Office
  • Passion for the technology industry
