Your Mission

The Jira Administrator will be part of a team that supports and maintains our 24x7 mission-critical corporate applications and will help ensure company productivity through the configuration of the Atlassian Jira and Confluence software tools, customizing Agile workflow processes, reports, and systems. The responsibilities include implementation of new Jira instances, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance, optimization, as well as tier 3 support. In addition to this, you will also be a key contact for stakeholders and assist with the team’s technology direction.

You will work with the brightest IT professionals in the industry using only the latest and best in class tools and platforms. With peers and clients locally and around the world, you will support leading-edge infrastructures and services for 1000+ users, focused on ensuring high availability and performance.

What you'll do

  • Supports JIRA and Confluence administration, including creation and management of customized and complex projects, workflows, security schemes, fields, dashboards and reports configurations.
  • Leads JIRA/Confluence upgrades providing full comprehensive communications and guidance to stakeholders and end users.
  • Installs, manages and administers Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions.
  • Manages system integrations with customers/third parties leading projects.
  • Gathers requirements related to business process workflows or related to process improvement identifying where functionalities could or could not be implemented.
  • Troubleshoots and proposes solutions for a variety of complex problems and technical issues taking a holistic and preventive perspective across systems and technologies.
  • Propose remedies/solutions to existing problems recognized by others.
  • Manage processes for testing and approving new add-ons and application integrations.
  • Creates and maintains detailed technical and user facing documentation.
  • Develop / manage Common and custom JIRA Project configuration
  • Develop / maintain user groups and assignment to projects
  • Develop / maintain Wiki site in Confluence to support a knowledge base on tools usage
  • Develops and delivers formal and informal technical training and presentations on JIRA and Confluence use to employees and new joiners.
  • Work with Atlassian Premier Support and Technical Account Manager to manage overall health and performance of the infrastructure

What you'll bring

  • Expert level tool administration knowledge on JIRA, and proficiency in Atlassian tool suite.
  • 3+ years of experience with Atlassian JIRA Software Server or Data Center.
  • 3+ years of Jira Software and Jira service desk administration experience
  • 2+ Years of Linux Administration Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Network, Systems Administration or related degree
  • Confluence administration experience
  • Basic programming knowledge (Java and/or Groovy).
  • Automation for Jira experience
  • Ability to quickly learn new product and business concepts.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Self-motivated personality with the ability to work independently
  • Good English level (spoken and written).

Nice to have:

  • Atlassian Jira  certifications.
