People Department Overview

The HR Administration is the backbone of our organisation. The People Generalist will link between our organisation's various departments and ensures the smooth flow of information from one part to the other.

The People Generalist is an all-round encompassing role that will support the People Operations Department which requires an individual that can adapt to change, drive new processes, takes ownership and accountability in the role. This position is pivotal to facilitate operational success by providing a wide range of services in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment. You will have responsibility for the daily functional and administrative tasks of the department and will work closely with the other members of the People department in a variety of projects. You'll will need to be resilient and able to lead through change.

Day in the Life
  • Prepare various written communication including contracts and offer letters, employment verification letters and other HR-related confidential documentation.
  • Coordination of employee life cycle events in a timely manner, including on/ off boarding, the first day and last day protocols: communication to all parties involved, such as HR, Desktop Support, Office Admin and Management.
  • Communicate Employee Handbook information to employees.
  • Administration of benefits. Inform employees of the scope of the benefits, set up benefits for new employees and their dependents, update of family and personal information, communication with benefits providers, review of invoices by the insurance companies.
  • Administration of payroll and coordination with external payroll bureau.
  • Attendance tracking: holiday, sick leave, family rights.
  • Update, verify and maintain electronic information in HRIS as well as hard copy records maintained in the People team.
  • Coordination and submission of documents for maternity, paternity, and other family-friendly leave.
  • Assist on HR projects including policies and procedures, performance management, surveys, and reports.
  • Support the annual performance and compensation review processes.
  • Actively look for opportunities to improve HR process, systems, and delivery to ensure we are ahead of the curve, proactively suggesting new ideas.
  • Planning and Coordination of Health and Safety protocols
  • HR Compliance
  • Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently within scope of established legislation, guidelines, and practices.
  • Support colleagues and team members in all day-to-day HR activities and administration.
  • Stay up to date with new trends in HR best practices, employment law and immigration updates.
  • Ad-hoc duties
Who You Are

Someone with strong HR generalist experience in a high intensity work environment

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent.
  • Great organisational skills; the ability to multitask and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Complete fluency in English, both written and spoken is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Methodical, rational, and logical approach to problem solving
  • High standards of integrity
  • Managing different priorities,
  • Experience in processing Payroll
