You’ll be part of a DevOps team with the mission of create new and awesome IT tools that will empower teams around the company to do things in an automated and safer way, plus standardizing processes to ensure all the teams are aligned with the each other. Moving our applications into our hybrid cloud environments will be a key mandate for this role. Our team which consists of Product, Core Engineering, IT Services, Support and Architecture are a tight knit operating unit where excellence is the standard.
What you'll do
- Understand the product and how to fix customer issues.
- Manage technical releases including software deploys, de-risking deploys and change request reviews.
- Build and/or improve tools for monitoring, automation and deployment and inspire change to improve products uptime and performance.
- Troubleshoot problems in multiple aspects of system deployment, configuration and tuning.
- Build and verify new servers, including tracking network changes using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Work and coordinate with other groups to plan upgrades of complex systems and to diagnose user experience issues.
- Write up documentation and procedures for other people to follow and to establish within the team best practices for software delivery.
- Handle downtime for maintenance and participate in on-call rotations.
What you'll bring
- Strong Linux skills are a must.
- A strong and deep level of understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment concepts and tools. Jenkins is a must.
- Familiar with OpenStack technologies.
- Experience with large server deployments in remote locations is a plus.
- Experience with DNS, Git, Ipsec, BGP, Docker, Kubernetes, etc is required.
- HashiCorp stack: Terraform and Vault experience needed.
- Looking for understanding with platform automation technologies, preferably Ansible. Experience with AWX is also a plus.
- Scripting experience with Bash and or Python is encouraged.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
- Ability to work without direct supervision is Key to being successful.
