Your mission
As a Senior Project Manager, you will ensure the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects; predominantly IT focused, across international locations and time zones.
Responsible for the project life cycle from inception to deployment and post-deployment support, this role is crucial to honoring timelines, applying best practice and enabling other roles; such as support specialists, developers, testers and other stakeholders to perform their specific function in each project in the most effective way possible.
What you'll do
- Drive the progress of critical and strategic projects towards key business objectives.
- Deliver control, governance and organisation to assigned projects.
- Plan for and proactively disseminate upwards and outwards communication, and provide regular project status reports.
- Prepare and manage project plans, milestones and timelines.
- Capture and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions in an organized, structured and coherent manner.
- Work with local and international stakeholders and other project managers to establish overall plan and actively manage dependencies across multiple time zones
- Manage the project team, ensuring that commitments are being upheld, improve on project estimates and feasibility analysis.
- Plan and direct quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitor project status in comparison to cost/time projections.
- Log, track, and verify resolution of software and specification defects.
What you'll bring
- Highly experienced in project management.
- Professional PM Qualification, e.g. PMP, Prince 2.
- Experience in managing the end-to-end delivery of multi work stream/complex projects.
- Very strong stakeholder and vendor management skills and experience.
- Credible and persuasive, with influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills (Written, Spoken and Presentation).
- Proficiency in using management software tools (e.g. Atlassian Jira).
- Proven experience in proactive and effective time management.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects with changing pressures.
- Respects confidentiality and can demonstrate outstanding judgment and discretion.
- Ability to think analytically and strategically.
- Ability to work out of hours work and travel internationally if required.
Desirable skills and experience
- Degree educated in a subject such as IT, Computer Science, Business, etc.
- Technical or business analysis background in IT Operations or Infrastructure.
- Knowledge in ITIL, and particularity in Change Management Process.
