Your mission

The Assistant Management Accountant will perform in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and specifically in both UK GAAP and IFRS. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters relating to daily activities.

What you'll do 

• Accounts payable processing: coding and inputting supplier invoices
• Maintaining and monitoring the purchase order system
• Identify prepayments and fixed assets and post accordingly in the accounting system
• Uploading and reviewing employee expenses to ensure compliance with company policy
• Posting bank and intercompany transactions
• Accounts receivable processing: raising sales invoices and assist with credit control
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in multi-currency ledgers
• Assisting with internal control procedures
• Seek efficiencies and best practice in processes
• Provide support, where required, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of departmental and business goals and requirements

• Experience with multi-currency and intercompany transactions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• The Group Accounting System is MS D365, experience with this system is preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
• Working towards UK accounting designation ie ACCA, CIMA, AAT
