Your mission
Within The Workshop, the corporate division sits at the core of our organization and provides operational support to both internal stakeholders and external clients, helping in driving the success of our organization. Formed by the People Services, Talent Acquisition, Workplace, Business Partnering, LO&D and Procurement teams work together creating an operations center of excellence.
If you are especially passionate about developing leaders that can influence the business and deliver better results, this is your place. You will work, alongside the Senior Leadership team, to unlock their potential and enable them to maximize their overall performance. You will assess and understand their ongoing needs and challenges, and translate that into an overall Leadership Development strategy and roadmap. With a high degree of autonomy, you’ll prescribe, plan, design and facilitate a wide range of activities and assist in establishing company-wide processes that help us to scale our Leadership learning programmes.
You will also have the opportunity to partner with the People team and various stakeholders throughout the business, acting as an in-house consultant and subject matter expert in the broader area of Learning. You will create and deliver programmes that ensure that our overall staff is equipped with the skills and culture required for continued success in a rapidly-evolving professional landscape.
What you'll do
- Use your expertise in Leadership and employee development to design and roll out the Leadership and employee learning and development strategy and roadmap.
- Collect data and analyse the impact of specific initiatives as required.
- Assist with ongoing Leadership and employee learning needs analysis, design, development, assessment, implementation, communication, and evaluation of learning programmes to ensure alignment with organisation-wide strategies.
- Collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders to enhance Leadership and employee performance, teamwork, leadership, company culture and professional development.
- Partner with business functions to understand specific learning needs and support accordingly.
- Proactively work with external providers and internal knowledge experts to build bespoke programmes, responding to fast changing needs.
- Additional project work as and when required.
What you'll bring
- You are a skilled leadership programmes designer, facilitator and coach, with exceptional communication skills.
- You are used to working with senior stakeholders and adjusting proposed solutions to their recommendations and requested actions.
- You can position yourself as a trusted thought leader in the learning space, but always open to growing and learning more.
- You can easily grasp the big picture and translate that into your day-to-day priorities and tasks.
- You are a proactive self-starter who is able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- You are able to adapt readily to change, pivot quickly and work in an agile fashion.
- You are eager to find creative, innovative and scalable ways to deliver learning.
- You are an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
Base requirements
- Must have minimum 8 years of L&D experience and be familiar with the full L&D cycle—Learning Needs Assessment, design, delivery and evaluation.
- Must have minimum 5 years of experience in designing and delivering a range of soft skills training, including management/leadership Development programmes.
- Proven track record of success facilitating leadership development programs. Delivery experience in virtual settings as well as face-to-face is required.
- Strong executive presence, effective communication and analytical skills.
- Must have previous experience working directly with stakeholders to design and deliver programmes and interventions to meet business needs.
- Proven ability to manage shifting priorities as well as work simultaneously on multiple projects.
Additional considered skills (non-compulsory)
- Coaching certification and/or experience in psychometric assessments is desirable (Insights and EQ-i preferred).
- Strong consultancy skills (g. requirements gathering, managing expectations, establishing rapport, influencing and maintaining relationships).
- Experience with LMS and other learning tools is a plus.
- Previous line management experience is desirable.
