Product Manager - DevOps
You will be responsible for leading the product vision and direction for our DevOps department as well as forming, designing, delivering tactical and strategic initiatives that fulfill our customers.

Your mission
You will be responsible for leading the product vision and direction for our DevOps department as well as forming, designing, and delivering tactical and strategic initiatives that fulfill our customers' needs. You will need to ensure the overall priorities are balanced and aligned to the strategic priorities.
You will work closely with leadership, stakeholders, and other key individuals to constantly assess the DevOps products capabilities and suitability, proposing appropriate strategies to increase capabilities or fill gaps through research and development, customer feedback, product design, requirements capturing, and engineering collaboration.
What you'll do
- Define and lead the creation of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet the needs of the customer
- Define and develop a product strategy that delivers on the goals of the wider group
- Maintain knowledge of industry & competitor trends and evolve the product strategy to keep it relevant
- Develop and maintain a business case in support of the product strategy and ambition
- Translate the product strategy and feature requirements into a prioritised roadmap with milestones
- Provide vision and direction to the product team, clearly communicating objectives and goals to measure success
- Work with product owners to translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
- Support the product owner in prioritising and refining the backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders and customers
- Partner with internal stakeholders and customers across the organisation to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritisation
- Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment
What you'll bring
- A customer-centric mindset supported by design thinking
- A proven track record as a Product Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of the DevOps technologies landscape and experience working on central enablement teams
- The ability to use evidence-based or data driven decision making
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- A structured and rigorous approach to solving problems. Thoroughness and attention to detail, supported by a strong analytical and visualization skillset
- Ability to understand, summarise and communicate complex issues and recommendations to stakeholders up to the Exec level
- The confidence and ability to challenge existing thinking
- A self-starter, you’ll have experience of delivering initiatives in dynamic, cross-functional and matrixed environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire internal teams/stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- Great organisational skills and a proven ability to proactively manage time effectively when handling multiple simultaneous projects
- Proven experience of working effectively with globally distributed teams and stakeholders
- An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles, methodologies and iterative development
- A balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
