Your mission

In this role, you will develop and evolve our technical capabilities for both on-premise and hybrid and multi cloud models. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience working for a global systems integrator, a large IT consulting firm, or Enterprise company.

This is an international and fast-paced work environment where you will have the chance to work with different locations. Cooperation and coordination with multiples stakeholders is a must. If you are a problem solver with broad technical skills, and have the ability to drive technical initiatives with our strategic partners you will enjoy this role.


What you'll do

You will be acting as a lead technologist and should have a broad understanding of Infrastructure (Data Centre Design, Networking, Systems Hardware, System Architecture Virtualization, Systems Management, and Security)

You will also be required to develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.

You should be just as comfortable talking storage and networking with the Head of Infrastructure or continuous deployment with the DevOps, and cloud strategy with the Director of IT.

In this technical role, you will architect enterprise-grade solutions, develop and execute workshops, lead white boarding sessions, and respond to complex technical inquiries.

Ensure that proposals and statement of works are technically sound, deliverable, competitive and representative of market leadership in the application of technology to addressing business issues.


What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans and designing solutions to meet the business/technical objectives.
  • You have previously worked defining technical standards and work with engineering to apply standards across the platform.
  • Research technological advancements to ensure that our platform is continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.
  • Knowledge of SDN/NFV concepts and the ecosystem - SDN controller, ONF, ETSI NFV, OpenDaylight, OpenStack, VMWare.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Networking Products like Cisco IWAN, SD-WAN and Cloud based network solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
  • You will have recent experience working for a technology service provider in a pre-sales role, designing IT solutions.


Basic Qualifications

Technical skills

  • Demonstrated experience in IT implementation and relevant tech experience.
  • Hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback, and application partitioning.
  • Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes and standards (e.g. SNMP); capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network management and monitoring.
  • Understanding of modern IT production data centre and Internet (ISP/ASP) hosting operations.
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.).
  • Understanding of computer server architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP).
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Provide advanced technical pre-sales support, building trusted relationships with customers and partners to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer or partner business, network infrastructure, IT, and applications environments.

Other skills

  • Strong presentation, executive client management and business development skills.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to travel to client locations when needed.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
  • Cloud Computing/Hybrid architectures and cloud migration expertise.
  • Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, CloudFormation, Route53 & S3), AWS certification is a plus.
  • Infrastructure automation through DevOps (E.g. Terraform, Python, Powershell).
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. 
  • Personal interest in continuous learning i.e.: major studies related to the field.
